    RXT speed..

I have a 2005 RXT with a good wear ring and prop, SC has metal washers and is also with in specs. At 7950 to 8000 RPMs (WOT) I get 63 to 64 on the on ski speedometer. From what I have read on the forum this speedometer is usually high. What should I be seeing on this speedometer? The Ski is stock and this is with less than a half tank of fuel. I want to start modding the Ski, but I want to have it at the stock norm before I start.

Best thing to do is get an actual speed on GPS before you do anything.

I know I need to get a GPS to use to measure the speed. I just wanted to know what most people see on a equivalent ski at WOT on their speedometer.... From what I have read I think I am 4 or 5 MPH slow still.

On the Speedometer on both my 2005 and my 2007 they would both get up tp 70mph, at 8000-8150 rpm...again on the speedometer. I do want to test that on GPS though.

They all hit 70 on the stock speedo. Its pretty useless. GPS should be in the 63 range for a stock ski in good running condition.

If my ski speedmeter usually reads high then my 63 is low. I definatly have a problem then.... Although my RPM is floating between 7950 to 8000 would that be a 6 or 7 MPH difference?

without a GPS speed its a 100% guess. 8000 "should" be at least 63.
