Got an X waterbox & mid pipe for my 05. Help with hoses (MS paint diagram provided)
The midpipe is from seadoo, got the box from classifieds. Cut and rewelded it shorty style.
Now I'm going to install it and I got a Q for X owners or for others who did the swap. I have two water inlets on the midpipe but the the top one is capped but removable (from Seadoo). My stock exhuast manifold has two npt barbed outs (one on top and bottom). There is also a barbed fitting welded on to the side of the X waterbox and I'm not sure if it's factory or the seller had it welded on previously.
Please check out my MS Paint diagram and let me know which way to route the hoses!
Should I remove the cap on top of the midpipe and put a barbed npt elbow in there? I don't want too much/unneeded water running through the box though.

Or an easyer way would be to connect the top mani hose to the mid pipe, then use the 8mm line that comes off the bottom mani pipe on your ski to feed the extra barb on the WB and then connect the flush hose to the remaining side of the T fitting that would normally go to the bottom of the J pipe.
DONT forget to block off where that 8mm line used to go to which would either be the stock exit elbow or the end of the thru hull pipe.

Here is a pick of my 06 RXP with the 08 setup...I was able to use the existing hoses from the 06 J-pipe setup on the new 08 setup..I only had to buy one hose and it was the "L" shaped one that goes to the down pipe pisser....The hose on the bottom of your exhaust manifold now goes to the fluch point on your transome..thats pretty much it...Again here is a pic of my setup...Hope it helps..

When I did the swap on my 04 I went to an online microfiche for both an rxp and rxpx and compared them. It is very simple to do but hard to explain with words. Plumbed mine exactly like the px with great results.
