same on my 05, ever once in a while the beeper will come on (after a long strentch of 40ish mph, but just need to reset it) I tried the resistor and the chip, neither worked for me!

plug the temp sensor back in. It will let you know if the exhaust is getting to hot. If the beeper goes off you need to add more fuel with your controler

    HUGH??????????????????

Salty, do you have a cat-sensor chip installed? Or did you just put the D-plate in and go?

SOME of the 05's have needed the bypass chip and some have not needed it. If yours beeps, then you might want to try to plug one up to see if that stops it.

If it beeps after that, i doubt it's because of the heat because the removal of the cat-con itself will drop temps in a big way, so much that it's hard to overheat it at all.

You can also try to bypass the sensor by using a 10k ohm resistor. here in the states they come in a pack of 5 or 6 at radio shack for a buck or so.

    Angry

thanks to all, just to clarify put plate in, put chip in, beeper goes off straight away, when the reset was pushed the display still flashes with the engine symbol and the red l.e.d continues to flash no matter how many time i try pushing the reset, for those of you who say the 05 dont need a chip you have had a result but my 05 does need one as i cant put up with the thing not being right, found the ohm range in the manual and cant see why the chip dont work if it within the given range,
