Did you add straight gas to the tank or just run it with what it had in it

thanks for responding yes I am pretty sure the oil pump is removed because it looks like the level went down on one whole tank of gas and it was probably spilled. On the very front of the motor it looks like where the pump would be looks like the block off plate.

I did shut it off running and it was running pretty good 61 mph top speed.

how did you relize the oil was disconnected? did it start running bad? did you add strait gas to the tank or run only what was in there from the previous owner?

Non the less- if the oil pump is blocked off then you need to pre-mix your fuel now at about 50:1 ratio. Would also be a good idea to do a compression test on the motor to see what kind of shape the pistons are in.

Have a Gpr with a few mods at 178 hrs.... Run amsoil oil... Motor looks beautiful inside....your compression is ok could be better... What's done to the motor any mods?... Shaved head reeds etc etc ?

chicofof, the machine is stock, did premix 50 to 1 and ran it for about 1 1/2 hours and it seemed to run good. The lake I was on was very choppy and I just chased down large boat wakes for most of the time.

I am not sure if any mods are on this the guy I got it from did not say much it was only $ 2000 with nice Karavan trailer.

But I would like to do some mods to it, do you think because the compression is lower that I may see some problems ? I do like how long the gas last havinbg oil slowed the consumption ! thanks
