Smile VX Plate Modded by Jim W/ RIbbon Removal

My 2009 FZR had a substanial MPH with just a modded VX plate by Jim ( no shims) along with the ribbon removed (stock intake setup still on machine) from going 67 mph to 71.1 via GPS. Thats 4.1 increase in Tampa bay bath water. No porposing at all. If you don't have one then you need to get it. Bottom line the plate is it.

I did replace it with an R&D after I was bucked off. I learned my lesson the hard way. The grate was on when it did 67 and I do not think it adds speed but makes the ski planted rather than dancing around. I do have your mod for the exhaust but my buddy has a free flow and the drone is not bad at all. I do not know why so many riders complain about so much. I like it to be honest with you.

    Hey Qman-
I called you today to see if you were ok from the ride. Call me when you have a free moment. We need to order you a plate done up by Jim. You wer getting 68.8 in 93 degree heat and hot bath water so with a plate you should be 71+ easy. My riva filter comes in Monday so I'm leaving work on time for once to install it.

    Hey JIm-
Yes, it was a pleasure as well and really neat seeing your ski do 85 in that hot tub water. Sounded like a jet! Are there any gains in mph in filling the bolt holes of the ride plate? Is it worth it or will I cause a mess?
