MX140 POLARIS , I HAVE HAS ALLOT OF WORK DONE ON THIS BOAT AND IT ONLY NEEDS ONE MORE THING AND IT WILL SERVE YOU GOOD FOR THE NEXT 4 OR 5 YEARS.

ONE CYLINDER WALL NEEDS TO BE REFINISHED SLIGHT (GOUGE) IN IT

ALSO THE INJECTOR WILL NEED TO BE CALIBRATED

NEW PARTS PUT IN TO DATE:
    FUEL PUMP COMPUTER,
    SENSORS WATER PUMP,
    INJECTORS

OVER $3,800 PARTS AND LABOR I JUST CANT AFFORD TO GET THE CYLINDER FIXED AT THIS POINT.
The $8100 asking price was rather high, I would say. List price when new wasn't much more.

Sounds like someone was throwing parts at it, without knowing what they were doing.

I can see it doesn't have the protective plastic sleeving over the fuel hoses near the injectors, which was a Polaris service bulletin item. That tells me that the service tech was not an authorized Polaris shop, and wasn't up to speed on Poalris Ficht engines in general. What else did they not do, or do incorrectly?

    Injector needs calibration?
I hope he still has the original injector, because there is no way to 'calibrate' a used replacement injector, unless you have the EMM it was matched with.

Hard to tell from the listing what was actually replaced, but it sounds like it already has a new fuel pump.

Even the spark plug wires have been replaced!

It really could just need a top end on one cylinder, or it could be a can of diagnostic worms.

It did come with the original injector and also 2 service replacement injectors with floppy disc. I have access to the software program but never replaced injectors before. Well it will be something to keep me out of trouble during the off season.

You will need to check whether the EMM has been updated with the injector data from the service injector disc. That requires the special cable that connects the EMM to a laptop computer serial port.

Each Polaris service injector disc can only be used for the injector it came with, AND only used on one EMM. The disc locks itself to the first EMM that the disc is used with.

Once it has been used, the service injector disc can be used to swap back and forth between the original injector data, and the new injector's data.

    Don't loose those discs.
