98 YAM 1200 XL non pv; Carbuerator basics help
I have a 98 YAM 1200 XL non pv engine. I replaced it last year with an SBT engine and it has been very dependable and I'm happy with it. Installed block off kit also.
I've been reading about the need to "check" and possibly have the carbs rebuilt every few years or so. The carbs have never been looked at on this engine, however, I am experiencing no problems whatsoever but I would like to learn what to look for and how to periodically check them for proper operation. Any help with inspection and possible problem areas would be appreciated.
