How did you get your GP1300 to 70MPH

What upgrades did you do to get to 70MPH, so far I have an 06 GP1300 with PPK, R&D ride plate, R&D aquavein grate, stock impellor and a Dynafly 14/20. With the stock impellor or the dynafly, I get 65.8 MPH max on the GPS with 1/2 to 1/4 tank of gas. Does this sound right?

You need to look at your pump shoe you can search and find lots of good info on checking it. look here: http://rivaforums.com/eve/forums/a/t...4/m/2571066093

you should be close to 70 with your setup also depending on where youo ride you may want to get your plate moded (lots of good people out there that can do it jim, kerry, ben, island racing ect.)

philips post will help you sheck thing out take a look at your pump and give us a update. Also if you dont have a tack GET ONE!!!

Need to get a tach,we need to know what RPM's youre turning.

What did this boat GPS in stock form ?

65ish seems a bit slow but if it only did 63ish new then thats not bad.

You will need to get a tach and tell us what your peak rpms
are with the 14/20. With those mods listed you really need
a head mod, some VF3 reeds, a EFI controller, D plate and keyway for
your next step of mods. These add ons will work perfect with your current
mods on your boat. Setup properly you should be able to run
75 mph or better. I think your at a point where you need see
key items to get your boat running better because I have seen
stockers run 65 to 66 mph. Your mods are good, but right now they
are probably slowing you down. A good angle plate, prop should
put your boat in the 68 to 69 mph range. But if you don't have a good running stock boat, you will have a uphill climb to reach your goal. Where
are you located? Where these speeds on smooth water?

Did not GPS my ski in stock form, it was too chopy that day. My speed runs were in glassy water at the river. Did two passes to correct for the current.

I will have to get a tach and test then.

With Riva trim tabs, R&D 1200 grate and this plate

    http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=13222

    On my 06 GPR, I was 70.1, 70.3, 70.4 GPS

A good plate makes a HUGE difference!

On my '05 1300, I did this and nothing else:

    RIVA Pump Plug Kit
    R&D Two Bar Grate
    R&D Rideplate (Done by Jim)
    Hood & Bucket Air Mod
Couple of FlowRites in the seat

And she'll turn anywhere from 70-71ish on some perfect water, perfect conditions.

I have to try a 14/20 I think. I put a PetTach on her and she turns like 7300-7380rpm consistantly, even in horendous air conditions???

Is that speed on a GPS. I have almos the same set-up as you, except, the hood air mod, and my ride plate was not done by Jim. How could it be such a difference?? Also how did you seal the pump, did you use silicone??
