    Camping/riding at Lake Powell?

Thinking of visiting next summer. I'm 1000 miles away and have no clue where to go for camping in an RV and being able to launch on site as well. We prefer boondockn'. I don't need hookups, water, or electric. We're self contained for 9+ days except for fuel. Read that lake is almost 160 miles long, so staying near the middle makes sense? Seems from the maps....there is fuel every 40 or so miles at a marina?

Driving from No. Kali and need to avoid Arizona since they don't allow my trailer combo.

Have 4x4 and am not scared to drive of pavement if needed as long as I can fit 67 feet in there.

    You guys have any tips?

    Thanks

I caught a tv show were riding a ski and boat touring lake Powell while living on a house boat during the shoot. The name of the show was called Motion.

I didn`t know that lake existed, it looks awesome!... good luck and have a great time if you do make it out there...

We will make it out there, but I want to go prepared so we can get the most out of a week. It looks to be like a trip that every water sport enthusiast would want to do in their life.

That lake is very nice i have never been on it but I rented a boat to take out in the lake once and a huge storm kicked up so we didnt get to go out but spent time at the marina staying out of the rain in one of the huge houseboats that they rent the water was beautiful, next year i will try to rent one again when im there visiting family. Dale hollow was a very nice lake also but i have not been there in 15 years so it may have changed
