    Getting ready for PWC court.

It was a GREAT day for a ride. 85*, no wind, glass water, mid-week. Only two boats for miles. GFU on my '96XP and me on my TWO DAY OLD '06 GPR. (make that three boats with the NYS Parks Police)

We were chased down and stopped (converging: angled at and pinched tword shore) for a "routine safety inspection".

The GFU was ticketed for no safty certificate (NAV 49.1) which was on her ski and she offered to bring back to him (three minutes from launch). I was ticketed for unregistered vessel (VAT 2251.1) after he ran the reg# and sticker#.

Both issues are dismissable on there face, with proof of certification and title but this is a major pain to have to deal with. And, it ruined the perfect riding day with the GFU.

I found a great NYS law link. http://public.leginfo.state.ny.us/me...MMONQUERY=LAWS
-PWC related sections NAV and VAT(registration)

Not 100% successful. The boater safety was reduced to "no wistel" at $25 and the no registration was dismissed cause the cop was wrong.
