On a Damn Mission (starting, and Fuel issues)

So my 12r has been acting up lately and its really starting to piss me off after its been parked for a week or two its take about 20 min of on and off cranking and chokeing to finaly get it to start firing up after it fires up i dont have any proble,s shutting down or starting back up. But while i am on the water if I let it sit for 20min or so again I have trouble starting up and get it going WTFingF. Also while I am at full throttle it will run perfectly and out of no where it will act as if there is no fuel and then bam it goes again and will be a constant go, stop, go, stop and then it will run perfect no issues ? I know that my accel pump is not working properly and could prob need a carb rebuild (i got a lot of hours but dont know exactly)could this be my starting problem ? Any and all input is highly appreciated

Yes my xlt was hard to start if it sat for a while till Jim rebuilt the carbs removed the choke and put the primer in then it would start on the 1st try with a pump of the primer. I would get rid of the choke plates and rebuild.

So I was wondering if some of you could give me a few quick steps on removing my carbs ? I have gotten as fare as removing the battery tray and stinger. I have the repair manual and I have seen the cajundude web site but I want to see if any of you have some good quick pointer for getting this done quickly
