    VP Racing Fuel

Has anyone used VP Racing Fuel? In Bermuda we only have one choice in gas and I think it is about 89 Octane.

Yes, its expensive to run. What is your price per gallon for 89? Can you get vp there?

Whats your setup?? what kind of ski??? if you are just looking for higher octane than 89, than VP is a waste of your money, you will never notice the difference on a stock setup....

We use VP's MS109 in our race setups on FZR's

Like Tiny said, it really depends on your setup. If it is stock, 89 is fine. If you have increased the compression, then you may need to up the octane. If you have removed the Cat, you could get the VP leaded (if available) and just mix in 1 part VP to 4 parts gas and you should get a split ratio. For example if you get VP 108 octane (I forget the VP #, I think it's like C-16) and mix it with 89 street gas you should get around 98.5 octane fuel. Now most likely if you are just up a little in compress and only need around 93 octane you could probably get away with a 1 to 8 ratio.

A guy called Earl who used to work for corporate at ESSO tested the gas here for his modified Kawasaki 2-stroke years back, it's all 93 octane.
