    05 GP1300r Troubleshooting.

Took it out the other weekend and was running fine for a bit then lost some power. As the day progressed it got worse, would run at about 35 mph tops a couple of times. I started small and changed the plugs and I just took it out and it seemed to help a lot. When I got it to top speed you could still feel a miss/skip in it.

What would be the logical thing to check next? Spark wires, fuel filter, injectors?

    Thanks in advance

compression tests dont lie. i spent 20 bucks on a tester and it cost me north of 800 dollars for a rebuild.

could be the catalytic converter is starting to fail. And +1 on a compression test.

    1-check spark wires/caps
2-inspect plugs for cracks in the porcelin
    3-test compresion
    If all checks out...
4-remove the jet pump to ensure smooth operation.
5-pull stinger pipe and check the cat
    If intact...
6-snatch the air box & throt bodies
    7-inspect the reeds for damage

    Ten four. Thanks guys.

I'm hoping to start lightly modding it this coming winter. What would be the best little places to start out?
I'm trying to get more into ski's and how they work. I know a little nothing special.
