RTH needed - SS vs Aluminum pump parts - cooling tube length?
I have a '97 SLT 700. I replaced the rocked aluminum pump stator with the Virage SS stator & wear ring. My cooling tube is now too short. Is there a different tube length?
Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure the extension ring and stator are properly seated into each other and into the pump base?

It appears to be, but it got dark & I didn't have good light. I will be checking it again Fri.

The wear rings should all be 4". Sounds like something is not seated properly.
How about a pic?

I'm thinking that's the problem. The SS parts are much heavier & more difficult to align, especially with my extended ride plate. I'll try again Fri.

D'ohh! Rule number 1) Don't work in the dark. I accidentally stacked the 2 wedges. Removed the stock wedge & everything fits great!
