    Need help with 2007 RXP

Took the ski out today and when I got back I noticed the engine was really hot to the touch. The upper cooling hose was hot and hard, the ride plate was not even warm. Just wondering if this is normal? Is my thermostat stuck shut? The coolant reservoir is still at the cold line. I opened the reservoir the coolant was hot and under pressure. When I removed the cap the upper hose went soft. No warning light or buzzer went off. Is there an engine overheat alarm light or buzzer? Please any help would be great.
    Thanks,
    Chris

Your fine bro. You will get alarms if you overheat.

Is it normal for the engine to be very hot to the touch? Shouldn't the ride plate be somewhat warm. My cooling system for the exhaust is cool to the touch. Is there a way to tell if the thermostat is stuck without taking things apart? I just don't want to damage the engine by running it too hot. What alarms or buzzers should I get if the engine is overheating?
    Thanks,
    Chris

You would know if it was stuck. As ocman said, there are alarms. My ski does the same thing, cant touch the motor but everything else is cool. Cooling systems work under pressure as well.

mine does the exact same thing. it is amazing how hot that engine runs normally; with mine running great you can feel the heat of the engine hit you when you take the seat off after a good run. i think your 4-tec is running just like the rest of us.
