What are your winter mod plan's?
As much as i like working and tinkering with my skis im almost looking forward to winter so i can make some changes.
What do you guys have planned for your skis?
Im a bit up in the air on what i want to do. Nils will be building a turbo kit this winter. He has my spare engine that he will mock it up on, set it up on his dyno and get it mapped with a Motec engine management system.
So that means i will be ditching my EMS and going with the Motec for my ski. (Nitroshark will be so proud of me )
So now im torn between selling my EMS, or just putting it onto Carey's ski What do you guys think? Leave Carey's ski at its current modification level, or go balls out?

Jerry, You do so much R&D for us regular guys, that if you go EMS on her ski. You will be way out of reach for the average Joe.
I guess what I think is most people that buy from your parts store don't have the BIG budget, so with the basic mods on careys ski it is realistic for us.
So I say keep her ski for the average Joe and yours for the Money pits.
Hope this make since!
I plan on going RR Impeller, RRECU, 42lb injecters and have a Riva wheel also to play with. And this was all obtained by Carey's ski as my budget is LOW...

You know what Austin, you do bring up a very good point. Carey's ski has basically remained a test bed for new products which has been so beneficial to us all. If i went the EMS route we would lose that.
So THANK YOU for helping me see the light
RR EMS for sale this winter

I am torn between EMS/Motec or the RR pump with the 2 piece drive shaft!!

Jay, if i had to choose between the two i would go with the EMS. Infinite tuning possibilities and the difference in acceleration is night and day. If you rode an EMS ski the choice would be easy for you

i havent a clue what i wanna do yet any ideas not too radical but i wanna do something to it?

hmmmm, for starters i would go with a custom 4" intake, Riva grate and Solas impeller. I think the RXT's benefit from a wedge. Maybe even toss in a Riva/Vortech impeller if you don't plan on getting too crazy with it in the future.

Question for jerry
Bruce at Riva R&D is installing and tuning my stage III, I've had no luck getting a total install price from Stage II to stage III. They had it for over a week tuning,my question is what price to you think is fair so I'll at least know what a fair price is and do you think they will charge me for all this tuning? Thanks for any input
