Ultra 150 stock grips
Can you change the oem grips on a Ultra 150 to aftermarket grips? Or is there something on the end of the bars?

yes you can what you have to do is clean the old grip off an at the end is a knot in the bar ,cut off the knot an aftermarket grips fit perfect, use hacksaw i ran mine for years like that until i got a umi setup this year.

I see the stock bars have some kind of curve or V to them, will the stock bar clamp take a regular 7/8" flat MX style bar or do I need a UMI steering system/ stem for that?

you will need a umi stem to run mx bars, when i called umi they said they had a few setups left i got lucky an bid on one on ebay an won it for 60 bones, goodluck.
