    Unhappy GP1200R Low-down flat spot

2002 GP1200R, 35hrs, fully serviced, starts OK, rev's through to top
end no problem, but "boggy" low down rev;s under load in water and
fuel consumption seems to have gone up?? changed plugs, checked for
obvious loose ignition leads; looking for help before we run out of
above freezing weather and can't afford the petrol.

probably need to rebuild the carbs, even if only 35hrs on the ski---it still seems to have been "sitting" somewhere for quite some time. Four years of minimal use and sitting through each seasonal temperature change will build the need for a rebuild, especially if stored outside. Just a thought.

Thanks for your help guys. The 'ski came from TX to UK so the shock of cold water and gas prices probably killed it. I'm still suffering myself. See y'all.

Carry on or did you check it? ... or how big was your gas tank.
Seriously though, how was that transported? Shipping container aboard ship?

Hooked the ski onto my RAM 2500 Pickup and drove 'em into a shipping container. 4 weeks Houston to London by sea.
