    trimming the reverse bucket on my sho?

    has anyone trimmed the reverse bucket and noticed a difference?with one click up on the trim i notice the buckets in the way also does it effect the reverse if u cut it?

    Rip'N Tear & I tried it last year & there was no speed gain. It did affect the reverse power...makes it a lot harder to power the ski off the trailer. I guess it depends on how you have you trim cable adjusted, but on ours it only looked like the stock bucket was in the way when trimmed up 2 clicks. Even after the mod, both our SHO's were still faster trimmed only one up. However, after modding it I can lean way over the bars, trim the nozzle all the way up & fire hose my buddies.

    If you want a little speed from messing with trim, you could try a wedge. I think Jim said he gained .5 mph with Leo's wedge. Phillip_GPR also made some awhile back but I'm not sure if he has any left.
