    Pump rebuild gone horribly wrong....

Well, I wouldn't call it a rebuild, but I was trying to change the impeller... What a frigging disaster this has turned out to be. I broke all four of the long bolts that holds the pump assembly together. I did manage to the the boken pieces out. Yes, I did heat it first.

Then, as I was trying to take the assembly apart, I missed what I was trying to hit, and cracked the part where the stator veins are. I might be able to get away with "fixing" that for the time being. The crack is in the location where a tap for the water supply would be.

And I can't get the impeller to move. No, I do not have the proper tools to do that job.

Take a break and drink a cold beer if you have one.

Ha. Well, I don't drink... (No reason why not, I just don't) But I am now waiting to hear back from some folks about parts. I knew I should have just left well enough alone...

No, unfortunately it won't fit. GP12's have a 155mm pump, and mine is a 144mm pump... But thanks for the offer!

Here's an update... Got the prop swapped, and it seems the stator piece will be okay. Now I just need the bolts!

Those bolts are the quickest thing boats.net has ever sent me. Mailed the next day, so they must have had them in stock. they are 8.76 with 1.75 shipping. That shipping is for 1, I dunno what it would be for others. Assuming they are the same for the 760 and 1200
