Thru Hull Exhaust - What are my options while Keeping OPAS?? RXP-X

    Hey all...

I searched and I wasn't able to find anything...I have a 2008 RXP-X and I may want to put a thru hull exhaust on it. I also want to keep OPAS intact...what are my options?

I know the Piranha exhaust (now bankrupt) left the OPAS intact, but I can't get that anymore...unless someone has one for sale....

im not 100% on this but i read that you could leave opas and drill the hole higher for the exhaust. other people will prob chime in.

I did my thru-hull and kept the OPAS for a little while on my PX. I made my own exhaust hose. A close copy of the Piranha hose that you can't buy anymore.

    JP,

Yeah, I saw your post on another thread. So you had it in there with the OPAS still attached? You eventually too them off...why did you eventually remove them anyway?

So that is 100% your old exhaust tube? What did you use to join them together? Haha, also, how did you plug the old exhaust hole?

As far as plugging the exhaust hole, Riva and Rude sell just the tip and exhaust block off.

I used 2.75" SS hose couplers from SiliconeIntakes. I used one 45* 2.75 hose coupler from SI and the rest is a cut up stock hose.

If you buy a rear exhaust outlet from RUDE you will get a plug, too.

hey, thanks for the replies. I looked in the 4-tec store...always my first place to look. But I was thinking of getting a thru-hull fitting from R&D ( http://rd-performance.com/newProducts/seadoo/rxp-x.asp ), "R&D Billet Exhaust Outlet" ...scroll right to the bottom of the page. I've sent them an email, but they haven't responded on the price or anything so I plan to give them a call tomorrow.

So, I guess I was wondering if the plug can be bought seperately without the thru-hull fitting...

    Hey JP,

Where's the 45* one in your setup? I see what looks to be a 90* at the waterbox, is the 45* to get over the OPAS rod?
