    Cool How To: 2010 RXT-X 260 iBR Gate Removal, Jet Pump & Venturi Removal, Impeller Removal

    First of all, I HIGHLY recommend you purchase a Shop Manual from your dealer!

    The three attached pdf files are the procedures from the shop manual to remove the iBR Gate, Jet pump / venturi, and Impeller. To re-install these parts, simply reverse the procedures.

    Note the torque settings are on page 456!

    When you reinstall the pump to the pump shoe housing, lube the seal with some silicone, and make damn sure you don't pinch the rubber seal, and make sure its is installed straight! Use Loctite Blue 242.

    JT's 260X keeps pace with my stage 1 255X until the gps limiter kicks in.

    It took me about 45 minutes the first time, reading the manual, back and forth. Now that I've done it, I would say less than 30 minutes!

    Hey guy's!!

    1st document (ibr and vts) Page 441, the 2 bolts on step #7 won't loosen, am I missing something or if i have to hold a nut somewhere??

    Look at parts numbered 6 and 10 here: http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche....e=13&A=63&B=15

    There are brass inserts into the plastic fixture and someone tightened them too tight and stripped them out. Take a pair of vise grips on the inside of where the bolt is threaded into the fixture and clamp down very hard, then remove the bolt.

    Several of us have had this same problem and have had to purchase both the left and right fixtures. Obviously don't over tighten!

    You will have to remove the iBr to get to the left one and the battery tray to get to the right side.

    This is a terrible design!
