    IMPORTANT RIVA/Vi-PEC UPDATE

    Here's some info i found on Riva's forum


    IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED

    We are proud to announce the release of new Firmware & Software for the RIVA/Vi-PEC V88 ECU. The new version (4.5.1) includes numerous improved features and requires updating your ECU, computer software and Base Maps immediately as we are no longer supporting the previous version (4.4.3).

    The new Firmware, Software and Base Maps are available for download on the RIVA/Vi-PEC ECU Manager Web Site. Upon entering the site you will be directed to the update page where you will download the necessary Firmware & Software updates. To make the process seamless and simple we put together a detailed Update Guide. The step-by-step instructions include screen captures with notations to assist you with the update process. Additionally, we are providing dedicated Tech Support by phone, e-mail and online. (Contact info listed below.)

    The following new features are included in the v4.5.1 Firmware & Software Update:

    • Improved E-throttle Set-up
    • MoTeC ADL & FDL Dash Support
    • Improved Limiting System (Progressive Percentage Cut System)
    • Define Individual Ignition Trim can be 3-D Tabled

    ViPec going stronger than ever,

    MoTeC ADL & FDL Dash Support
    MoTec Dash support is great,
    i put on wish list for next order

    If you have a ViPEC ECU it's very important that you register your ECU via the Riva ViPEC support site. It's also vital that you ensure your ViPEC is updated to v4.5:1

    Everybody should be aware there is a new firmware 481 effective sep 22 2011... Rivas maps on their site will not work with the now old 451 firmware. New 481 firmware is downloadable from Rivas download page on their site.

    If you are talking about the firmware update then yes it absolutely must be done.
