    98 GP800 low fuel issues

    On my 98 gp800 when I get to about 1/4 tank on the gauge it starts to cut out on acceleration and over wakes. The tank looks like there is more than enough fuel covering the pickup. Could this be a defective one way valve not pushing fuel to the pump? Thanks for any advice.

    it is more then likely the fuel pick-up being in the "on" position try it in the "reserve" position and see if there is any difference. then if problem still occurs pull the sending unit and remove the screen and flapper door from it.

    I have tried it on reserve and it still does the same thing, just not as bad. I have already pulled the sender and there is no flap on this model/year.
