    SC outlet temperatures...

Does anybody know the approximate temperature of the compressed air coming out of a B-kit SC at WOT. Actually, temps from any SC at WOT would be helpful.

I'm building a test bench for checking the efficiency of different IC's... need to know if Annette's hair dryer is gonna hack it.

i think it would be in the 200 range

anyway all you need is a base number to compare the difference.

say hair dryer at 150 degrees

    outlet of ic 1 110
    outlet of in 2 134
    outlet of ic 3 90

the vary in outlet temps is what your looking for

I agree with you Daniel. I was just thinking about all the trouble people were having with high SC temps melting the IC plumbing. If I could replicate those temps on the test bench it would give me "real world" results. I'm thinking that the plumbing and IC material and it's thickness may alter things a bit.

It may be grasping for straws, but the testing will give me something to do this winter and may even help me heat my shop

Annette and I are looking forward to seeing you again at Mudbug... bring all those cool toys!

I may be a little off here but if I'm not mistaken sandrock tested this with a lazer temp gauge and coming out the sc was 158 and out the IC was 102....

bttek1 has the info on the RR and Riva intercooler.

I have the EMS system and it gives me manifold air temp on the display while riding. At WOT 8750 RPM's and 15 psi of boost the Riva intercooler output temp measured at the intake manifold is 102-104. Pretty damn good

Thanks to all for the temp values.

mxl16... I'll be testing the Riva, Rotax, Xspower, and one that I won't divulge right now because I couldn't handle the ing. I also hope to settle the debate as to which works better... cold water entering at the air intake side, or the air exit side (not a factor on the Xspower)

NitroShark... thanks for the great info. Do you remember what boost you were at on this test?
