    Advent Question

First off I found my wire & clamp to to my pet tach so I will be able to better know whats going on with a good tach, but by seat of the pants feel it doesnt feel as crisp on the enhanced stock switch ,but it sounds smooth at WOT @72 but does take a while to get there.Previous test I used the riva single mode,it sounded crisper & got to 72 in a hurry but the engine sounded eratic @ WOT only. The rpm switch is set @ 7500 (200 over target 7300) I'm thinking if I bump it up to 7600 its cured, but I worry a little with 38cc heads and bone stock carbs lean might bite me even though I'm running 93 oct. It was running 7130 @ 72.0 with a protec CDI & slightly warmer water.Any one else have this experience with the Advent?

    going off memory...

the "enhanced stock" curve is the 94 curve...correct?
the "stinger curve" ios the 84 curve...correct?

the stinger curve is more aggressive then the 94 curve.

i have found the stinger curve to accelerate better on 1200's to 1375's in GPR's.

in a XLT hull the stinger curve will pull harder in bottom & midrange however the heavier boat likes the 94 curve for top end (saw about a 70-100rpm differential in favor of the 94 curve on the XLT).

from what you describe, sounds like you are feeling the advanced timing on the 84 curve. its only a differential of a degree or so....but again, im going off memory,,,,so dont hold me to that. i can fax you the curves later tonight when i get home if you would like to review them.
