Please HELP with this ebay ad!
Dealer ad says 160hp, but it is an FX140! Is this dealer a joker or stupid? The book value of the FX140 is LESS than the 160hp boat, the FX CRUISER......is he trying to fake the boat for a more expensive one? Only a few hundred dollars diff. on the book value, but, damn, I don't like to be told 160hp is I am looking at a cheaper machine!

Zx is correct. The ski is a HO which is 160hp. Although, the seats have been replaced. They're most likely from a 2002-03 fx140 model. The ski came with blue seats.

Awesome! I got a terrific deal on it and I hope I don't loose it. He is taking 4K for it with a 2009 trailer instead of the 2011 trailer. It is 5 hours away and I can't get there until Sunday, so I hope he makes the paypal request for money like I asked.
Thanks for the help!!!

Got it! Sent him 100 dollars over paypal just now. I doubt he wants a bad review on ebay so there's little to no chance he sells it to someone else now. I always worry about a "good price" when I am far away and simply cannot pick it up for three days and a broker/salesman is involved.
This guy seems great though. Now I need to find a club in the DC area or Baltimore area!

Good luck with the ski. the MR-1 engines are very dependable if taken care of. My buddies 2004 fxho cruiser just passed 300 hours this summer. Ski has been flawless since new in 04, no breakdowns and hasn't lost it's performance. Still gps' at 57-59mph depending on fuel level.
I noticed in the pics that the floor mats are peeling up. Don't be discouraged, they all do it on the pre-2005 models. In 2005, yamaha went with hydroturf as their OEM mat supplier. Much better quality. Heres a few links of different styles of the replacement hydroturf mats for your ski. Go with the mats with the 3m PSA adhesive. Makes for a cleaner and easier install over contact cement. You should be able to knock this out on a long saturday.
