Ultra 250/260 Boost Hose Rubbing
I had some concerns with the boost between the supercharger and the intercooler rubbing against the hull. The rubbing in 45 hours was enough that it had worn through a few layers of hose...
As we all know that area is very tight and there's not a lot of room. The hose is also an odd angle so making the hose shorter only causes it to rub on the exhaust instead of the hull....I tried it with my old hose.
What I came up with was to use a scrap piece of rubber from one of my old projects and some contact cement and glue the rubber to the side of the hull. I figure if it has to rub I'd rather have the hose in contact with the rubber than the hull. Also, the rubber piece is thick enough that I highly doubt there is any movement at all.
