    Question 94 sl 750 fuel problem?

    my 94 sl 750 runs great for 30-60 minutes then dies out pull choke and it runs good enough to get back to dock.carbs and fuel pump has been rebuilt,has good compression..any ideas?

    Fuel tank venting may be stuck closed. When it happens next time, stop riding and loosen the fuel tank cap. If you hear an air pressure release, re-tighten the cap and see if the problem is fixed.

    If releasing fuel tank cap solves the problem, then check and replace the fuel tank venting check valve(s).

    This is also happening to my Polaris sl650 pull out the choke works then dies again if I release the fuel cap and a build up of pressure is there where is this valve assembly that you speak about thanks ally please help as I am desperate to finish this project

    There are 2 vents.

    1 lets air IN and is located under the hood. (T off the vent line) Looks like a kid's "top"

    The other is at the very end of the vent hose and lets excessive air OUT (1.5 psi is normal) It is inserted into the rubber vent that is inserted into the cowling. This is most likely the one failing if you do have this problem.
