    97 GP1200 - Hole in Crankcase

Found this ski for sale locally. They say it has a hole in crankcase. What would cause that?

What motor was in the GP1200 in 97? It looks like a nice ski. I'm just wondering if I can part it out and make some cash, or fix it and flip it...

hole in a crank case comes from a crank shaft failure, this is a pretty significant failure
