here is my external flush, was a bit bum twitchy drilling a big hole in the back of ski
on the inside of the hull i dremelled a small notch next to the hole for the locating pin that is found on the back of the flush adaptor.
the main reason i did this mod is that the rd pipe was kinked over bad and was restricting water flow.
another bonus is you can flush with the seat on and lower the noise

That looks good Corky,I have thought about doing the same thing mainly because of all the water that leaks into the hull when you flush it from the connection, the exit nozzle for the cooling system looks good to can you tell me about that as well is it a Riva cooling system

    cheers

yeah dean thats fine crack on...
the cooling system is the r&d engine and intercooler cooling kit, im sure you can buy the external fitings seperate though if you just wanted one line in and out

    Corky,
Can you show us a pic from the inside? Was that a seperate flush mounting on the outside than what came with the ski?

yeah i will take a pic over the weekend and post, all i did was remove the flush from the stainless bracket inside the ski, (the stainless bracket still remains in place) the flush itself has a mounting flange (that mounts to the stainless mount) this has a small plastic grub (i originally wanted to mount it with a rubber gromet on the inside along with one on the ouside but doing this leaves no thread left to screw the cap in place) so i mounted the flush straight to the hull.
the plastic grub stops the flange from sitting flush so i got my dremmel out and buffed HALF of the grub off and then used the dremmel to bur a indentation in the hull (on the inside) so the grub will lock in (this grub stops the flush from spinning right round when securing the adaptor in when flushing the ski)
i then used SIKOFLEX on the flange when locating it all in place, i also used SIKOFLEX on the outside threads when locking the white plastic nut in place, i tightened it all down and removed the excess SIKOFLEX from round the nut
i left the whole lot to dry over night and must admit it feels very strong and gives no movement when locking the flush in place

This would be great if i lived on a lake or something... I really dont see the point if you live on salt water. cause you still have to take the seats off to clean the whole engine down and flush the hull
