    Brown wire inside CDI

I had to replace a burnt stator ground wire and I noticed after playing, I had the yellow and brown wires disconnected. I found the yellow. Where does it go? I see a spot down on the bottom left side of the board that says "brown" but there's no terminal sticking up. Its not broken either, just looks like nothing was ever there. Can't tell on any other terminals where it would have come from, all I could think is the "spare".

Brown stator wire (for domestic engine, not Fuji) goes directly into the CDI, not through the terminal board.

Are you asking about the Tan wire, which comes from the Temp sensor on the engine?

Ok, where does it hook up to? I don't see an empty spot to put the connector to.

There is no brown stator wire.

Brown or "tan" is usually the temp sensor.

Verify what wire it is for sure, and we can better help you out.

A pic will do wonders also.

Yeah I guess you could call it tan. I pulled back the protective sleeve on the temp sensor, which is tan. So I looked at the board and on the bottom right there's a "T". Is that where it goes?

Trace the wire back to verify it is going to the temp sensor. Maybe someone spliced a different color wire in to something.

But yes, normally the tan wire connects near the bottom right corner.

    Just like post #8 pic
