    For Honda Riders in the salt, a part you need.

    I have had 2 of my 3 hondas sink/partially sink due to the plastic nut on my reverse cable breaking and letting the hull flood. There is a guy who is selling Billet Aluminum nuts on Ebay for a terrific price. We tried to take a nut off of one of Eric's Hondas too and it just crumbled also. Here is a link to the nut;

    If you do it with the grate/ride plate off to change the impeller, it is not hard. With the ride plate on it is quite difficult. I welded a 12" piece of galvanized water pipe to a 1/2" drive 15/16" impact socket to let me put mine back in easier. You WILL have to pull the pump since the old plastic nuts will snap off when you go to remove them, requiring you to carefully chisel them out of the threads. Be sure not to go back with the OEM plastic ones, get the aluminum ones off of ebay.

    I'm fairly certain this was the reason behind my Aquatrax filling with water. Definitely an item I'll be checking for/replacing when I get my next one (just sold mine.)

    Fitted my nuts on the weekend all went well just need a tube socket to undo and install easier also regreased my pump as well.
    I took nitro advice in another thread and used a marine grade gear oil much easier to fill than grease and to my surprise the pump seems a little quieter now.
    I let you know how it works out at next pump service.

    Regards Xdrian

    Did the OEM plastic nut break off when you were removing them?

    The plastic nuts didn't brake off they were in much better condishion than I was expecting considering that I only ride in sail water now @250hrs now.
    Wave jump waves for 3-4 hrs all very good changed anyway always flush after use.
    Regards Xdrian
