    My latest trailer recon

I'm not big on pictures, or very good at taking them, but I will try to show some of what I have started with and what it becomes.

Starts as a 94 Load Rite Lil Rider Double with Zero rust on it.

I stripped it down to frame and axle.

Cleaned, preped, and brushed on one coat of POR-15 BlackCote top coat paint. This stuff is tuff, and expensive. $45/Qt last year.

Goes on thick and is self leveling. That is if you put in on correctly. I used a foam brush and I suck a painting. Results show this.

Only got the top of the trailer done today. Tomorrow will be the bottom and axle. Then after that come all the bolt-on intems.

I will try and update with a few pics as I go along.

Painting is done on the main frame and 95% of all the brackets. Just need to paint the bow stop "bars" and then come rewiring and installing all new LED lights.

I have all parts needed except for 2 diamond plate fenders and 3-rims/tires. Not sure if I am going 12", 13", or 20.5x8x10
Whatever way I do go, they will be aluminum rims.

Thanks Doug. It's fun doing this, but my back is protesting badly. I may wetsand it and buff it out, but then again it looks good for a 10-footer. lol

Those still for sale? Too bad mine are 5 lug. I found some nice, new, 20.5x8x10 tires with aluminum rims for about $450 shipped for 3.

    Thanks Lee

Maybe now would be a good time to open up that package you sent me and use it. lol

I think the trailer looks like hell all apart, but will look better once all the diamond plate and sterling silver color bits are added back on it.

    Thanks Frank

I hope to do some more work on it on Friday. That is if it is not raining or 100* outside.

Going to start wiring it up and add all the lights, including the rear corner LED "pole" lights. Also have to paint a few more small items with "sterling silver" POR-15 paint.
