Checking out an MSX110 for a friend over the last two weekends, with the complaint that the light was flashing and was in limp mode from last summer.

Well After a general check over I could not see anything unusual. Had a listen to the throttle body whilst operating the lever and it was not making the usual noises, ah I found the problem I delighted! Upon inspection the throttle plate was seized. This was rectified and refitted but No! the bloody light was still flashing, next suspect was the original, now superseded, boost control solenoid, it measured around 10 ohms so I thought it would be OK, but just to be sure I put one of my ski on it and pesto lights out.

So it ends well, would of been much quicker with a DW and a bugger for anyone with out parts to swap around.
