aftermarket reverse kit for GP800's? also step ladder...

one of the biggest things i hate about my 04 GP800 is no reverse.

does anyone know of a aftermarket kit avail for my 2 seater? im fairly mechanicly inclined to takle such a job. ide even be ok with a huge manual lever not friendly to the eye for the sacrafice of comfort and pleasure of having reverse in my ski.

also, i was looking at a 04 XLT for sale.. a 4 stroke, but it had a wonderful spring return ladder that was mounted to the back. is this OEM? or aftermarket? i would love to get one for mine as well. any tips?

    thanks for the help guys.

The "step ladder" is called a boarding step. You can buy those for around $100-130.

After market reverse, never heard of it.

I'm supposed I be working in a reverse set up for that thread. I have all the parts to do the reverse conversion, I just haven't had, or wanted to yet. It requires cutting the rear swimstep to make more room in the pump tunnel. And since it's summer, I work and I am back in school every other min of my life, it's just not been a priority.

even with the 2" extension you need to cut more of the rear body/step to make room? i have a 03 800 and i was under the impression from the factory mine came with a extension. i don't know if its true or not, but my ski is a state away at a weekend house. so ide like to get parts together and work on it in my spare time.

what model ski's are you guys getting these buckets? i'll work on the cable, once i get it, but the bucket seams like you can't modify as its plastic...

    The 03 GP800 does not have a 2" extension.

Try this thread, it has the info on the buckets.

Even with the extension. The problem is in the higth when the bucket is up. It needs at least one more inch of clearance.
