A day at the landing in October
....Is much different than a day at the landing in July.
Today I got in the drink with my two ski's so I could properly shut em down for the season...what a bummer. You guys in the south and on the coasts never get to experience that oh-so-fresh feeling of Stabil all over your hands do ya.
Anyways, the water was cold as hell and my feet were numb, but that is the price you pay when you are from the "fill up the tank and add stabil" school of thought. The other school of thought being "Drain the tank all the way".
But hey, at least it gave me one more chance to enjoy a beer at the landing and take in that nice two stroke smell.
Anyways, go buy some fogging oil and winterize those ski's

Thank you sir, I agree, they do look mighty fine together!!
Snowmobile...great stuff, but I put WAY too much time into Ice fishing to snowmobile....do you Californians even know what an iced over lake looks like???
Now...dont get me wrong, snowmobiles work great for getting out to the ice fishing spots....and it just so happens, one of the greatest snowmobile manufactures out there is one we all happen to like in the PWC Category...
Well, anyways, here are a few pics of what happens back here in the midwest when we lose rideable water..... PWC rideable that is…
Oh one other thing, when your looking at those pics, please notice who I am representing on my snug black winter hat...

LOL I LOVE the ice bucket!!
Damn man, the last time I saw an iced over lake like that was when we were traveling through Oregon in the middle of Winter. The damn snow had to be 10 or 12 feet high and we're driving though the middle of it, wierd!! We got to Crater Lake and were snowed in at the lodge for a few days, it was excellent.
Come to think of it I had a headache for days afterward........................could have been the booze and no food thing I guess. That blinding bright white, wheeeeew that hurt. LOL
