The pre-07 resonators had straight inlet/outlet flanges, the '07+ have an inlet that is 90 degrees from the outlet. I borrowed this pic from another post. It shows an 07+ resonator. The pre '07s were inline.

i knew of the change in the resonator design but how does that affect the free flow tube?

If the waterbox outlet and exhaust connection at the back are the same, the shape of the resonator doesnt really matter or anything between those 2 points really.

    Is that correct ?

I removed my resonator from my 05 anyways.

Has anyone installed the 07 free flow tube on the 04-06 rxp? Thats what I would like to know.

If the resonator is different would the waterbox outlet be different too ?
