hard to tell from that pic, do you see any bubbles that have formed in the ss liner between it and the alum housing, are there places where the liner is worn through ? have you tried spinning the pump impeller ? if it wont spin then brgs/seals are prolly needed.

No the reason I had it out was the bearings took a crap. I replaced the seals and bearings and put in a new prop. Everyhting comes out to spec. Thanks for the reply though. I have always had Yamaha sitdowns. I hope this pump bearing deal is not a sign of things to come. You can't beat the Yamaha's for there reliability.

it's not a cheap bit to replace ( but pretty easy however). I'd judge the holeshot and top end performance and go from there..without a doubt get the prop reworked..On a few I've done with bearing failures ( on number 4 already!) the prop edges were burned from running into the stainless.
