Slowstang - Saw another thread where you mentioned riding Haulover on Monday. Do you ever go down to Bear Cut - Key Biscayne? Seems like a pretty cool area.

Cool - if I see anybody with a ´pwcflorida´ sticker, I´ll be sure to say Hey. The wife and I are trying to hit the sandbar in front of the lighthouse but not sure if the tides are going to allow it. Seems like you have to catch it when low tide peaks to have dry sand for any amount of time.

Yeah I know what you are talking about. We hang out there at random times. You are more then welcome to come ride with us on monday. We will be launching at haulover riding down to 79th street to grab lunch at shuckers and then probably hit up monument island.

I appreciate the invite. Sounds like fun. I´ll more than likely be hitting Key Biscayne. (you never know though) The low tide schedule is making the sand bar by the lighthouse on Key Biscayne look pretty good. (as long as you have some shade) Plus, at low tide there is the old ´half moon´wreck right outside Bear Cut and the wife has been wanting to do some snorkeling. Low tide schedule is as follows: (afternoon low tide looks pretty good)
Sa 4 High 6:23 AM 2.0 7:02 AM Rise 2:42 AM 27
4 Low 12:20 PM 0.3 7:37 PM Set 4:41 PM
4 High 7:16 PM 2.2
Su 5 Low 12:53 AM 0.6 7:03 AM Rise 3:48 AM 17
5 High 7:30 AM 2.2 7:36 PM Set 5:28 PM
5 Low 1:20 PM 0.2
5 High 8:13 PM 2.3
M 6 Low 1:50 AM 0.3 7:03 AM Rise 4:56 AM 9
6 High 8:31 AM 2.3 7:35 PM Set 6:12 PM
6 Low 2:16 PM 0.2
6 High 9:04 PM 2.5

I never heard about it either until recently. http://www.divespots.com/scuba/spotI...hotos.divespot Apparently, it is considered a protected area so no spear fishing or collecting around there. Nonetheless, it makes for a convenient dive spot. Should be about 75 yards NorthWest of red buoy number 2 jusr out of Bear Cut. I hear the small finger reefs just off Crandon Park offer some decent snorkeling too. I´ll see you around !
