    BoatTest.Com Tests The VXR

Looks like the Boattest.com full test of the VXR is up. They got a claimed "68.4" mph out of it!!! Not sure how accurate this is, but figured everyone would want to read the article:

There is no reason to question their top speed on the VXR...
Its inline with what several others have experienced.

seems like yamaha finally built an rxp. just not quite as ugly and without the headaches or upgrade potential of an SC.

Jerry and a few others who rode it only got 65-66 tops unless they are keeping the 68 a secret.

Seems to be very impressive. I don't understand why everyone seems to think this is a budget muscle craft though, MSRP for a 2010 RXP is 11,999; I purchased a 08 RXP in spring of 09 for 9k. It seems right on par price wise for an RXP, and performance seems comparable. What I really like is it seems to do what an RXP does without the hassle of a SC/Turbo. That alone would make it worth a closer look for me and what sets it far apart. Love it or hate it, the RXP seems to be what everyone compares everything else too.

compared to the test they did with the fz, 0-30 for the vxr was 1.8 seconds, 0-30 for the fz was 1.5 seconds, that is pretty impressive .

WOW 68.4 Yamaha must have hand picked those skis for testing, that is as fast as most Sho/Fzr's are out of the crate.

It's a regular X-file! let's call Fox and Scully to get to the bottom of this one!
