    How to test a CDI

    I have a CDI out of an SLX and I would like to test it. Is there a way on the bench?

    I believe the only way to test it, is to eliminate everything else as the problem..ie..stator,controller,ete.. thats with it in the ski.. let someone else chime in and see what they know or think about that..

    I recall reading this as well on other threads. Look at K447's webpage. He has everything one needs regarding cdi testing there.

    I think this CDI has been switched. It came out of a 95 SLX but the number don't jive.

    Only way to test a CDI is to put it in another ski and see if it works.

    I kinda figured that. What about the numbers? Can you guys tell me what it goes to?

    I don't know if they made a 97 SL 780. But I would guess it's from a 97 SLT 780.
