Fins in front of impeller, Needed??

Hi Guys, I just purchased a Low hour 08 RXT X and have found the plastic fins in front of the impeller have been broken. Does anyone know if they are needed or not. A ski shop here said they just cut them out after they get damaged. Cheers

+1, take them all out if damaged. Do a nice job of it. Check the wear ring and prop while you are in there..something broke those teeth.

does not effect the ski in the slightest bit. i have ran my stock rxp with perfect fins and in the same day cut them out and i could not notice anything.

Exactly ... don't bother with cutting them out unless some get broken and you notice cavitation. Cutting them out when they are all perfect is just a waste of time ...
