Is the Crankcase/Crank same on 650/750/780 models?
Guy at work says he knows a guy with a garage full of polaris parts from when his shop used to be a polaris dealer.
In the process of rebuilding my 780 engine and searching for cheap parts.
Spoke to the guy about 20 minutes ago and said he would give "a pickup truck full of polaris parts for $250." He's wife is bi*%$ing at him and said ebay wasn't worth the trouble. Claims he has 15 cylinders & heads, a box of pistons, 650 hull, 750 hull, 3 mfds, the list goes on and one. He did seem to know the differences between the polaris models.
Said I was looking for a crankcase & crankshaft from a 780. He said:
"The crankcase and crankshaft is the same in the 650, 750 & 780 engines, only difference is the cylinder size"
For some reason doesn't seem right.
Is the crankcase & crank same on these models??

Cranks are identical.
The 780 case has some porting differences on the top half, but either case CAN work.
