    ouch... there goes another one down the drain...

    well as you can see this piston is toast... this is the same one i replaced for my buddy in his slt780.. so its eaten two pistons with in a few weeks..

    after the first burn down i had him clean the carbs and replaced all the lines..

    and this burnt down after about 10 hours on the ski..

    Just out of curiosity, are you running premix, or oil injection?

    hes running oil injection..im thinking his center carb is screwy i have nto really looked into it at all we popped head looked he laughed and then we went out on my skis

    somethings way wrong then because this is a stock 780. we shouldnt have tto bump the jets up if everythings was stock right?

    I was told by many people that you do not have to change jets. I think it has to do with the pop off pressure.

    im not to sure what happened..iknow it was very lean and we now can see the rod top... he desided last night that the boats going to get parted out.. and going to put the money away for a newer ski..

    Do you think the head gasket orientation has anything to do with it? It seems the "L" opening on head gasket should be at upper left of the picture for proper cooling flow.

    what year??air leak on carb base gaskets.which fuel pump does it have??

    i took the head off one of the cyls that has never been touched to make sure i had it right andconfirmed i did before we finished the build.

    at some point i took the gasket off yester day and threw it back on thats why if its on wrong.. but idont rember of the top of my what way its supose to go..
