    Smile Another fuel regulator dropped.

Well I was just checking over the skis( virage and msx) for routine compression and fuel pressure and the msx had 22 psi fuel pressure but the virage had 0. It's funny because I've been riding it for most of the season and havn't noticed any change in performance. The mid range always did feel rough but that's the way it ran since I got it. I put one of the Kawasaki regulators on it and now I am getting a constant 32 psi pressure. I'm looking forward to trying it out this weekend to see if that mid range roughness is gone. There were no warning lights coming on and compression is 160 in both cylinders. Just wanted to thank the forum about the different fuel pressure fixes that everybody has shared.

You sure you got the regulator installed right way around?

32PSI sounds like a clamped off return fuel line, not a regulated pressure (which should be in the mid-20PSI range).

Pinch the return fuel line flat in between the Kawasaki regulator and tank. If the measured fuel pressure doesn't rise any further with the line fully clamped off, you may have that regulator installed backwards, or it may not be allowing return flow for some reason.

I installed the kawasaki regulator with the grove side facing toward the injectors. When I pinch the fuel line between the regulator and tank the pressure does rise. For whatever reason i'm still getting 32psi fuel pressure.

How much more does the pressure rise when you clamp the return line?

Do you know whether your pressure gauge is accurate?

Let us know how it runs with the Kawasaki regulator installed.
