The 1993 hull is not the best choice for a high performance Polaris.

The 1994 and newer hulls are better designs.

What made the 92-93 hull worse than the 94 and newer hull?

I know they used another "rib" up front that made it near impossible to get to the front of the motor.

And the jet pumps were inferior, but could be retrofitted with a 94 and newer style 148mm pump.

A 72mm (780 or 750 bored oversize) would make the most power, but leaves little room for boring oversize should there be an "incident".

Many of the parts can be re-used.

BUT, the 92-93 146mm jet pump is inferior to the 94 and newer style.

It will cost alot to try and beef up the 93 650/750.

Better off putting your $ towards something that's bigger to begin with.

My recollection is that the 1992 hull has a smaller/steeper water inlet (and a different stock intake grate?) before the pump shoe, and some other hull contour differences. I could be fuzzy on this, of course.

The 1993 hull was different from 1992, and I thought that the 1994 hull was different again :

The 1992-1993 non-modular 146mm jet pump was another difference, of course. And no MFD display, different fuel tank venting, and some other small differences...

I had never actually heard about any hull differences other than the extra structural "rib" up front.

Wonder who can better clarify this?
