    RXP 215 Compression ?

Anyone know what the compression should be on a stock 215 4-Tec ?

Several people here have checked the compression on their RXPs. Seems that most get reading from 125-150 PSI.

On my ski it does not make much difference if it is hot or cold. Sometimes people forget to hold the throttle wide open and to make sure the battery is fully charged.

    Thanx Dave,
Then @ 125+ mine is fine using a solid battery and holding the throttle open to bypass the
    Fuel Injection.

    Reviving an old thread here,

But can anyone else comment on warm/cold compression?

    I get 155, 155, 152 cold
    and then:
    120, 120, 120 (Real hot @ the ramp)

    Does this seem normal?

Let me revise that, 155 psi is WITH FOGGING OIL IN THE CYL's.

    I always fog and forget!

So 120 cold/warm both the same with no fogging oil in all cyl's.
    90 hours on the motor.

Seems like it depends a bit on year, cam, cam timing, etc. I know I and a few others get 120 psi fully retarded in the cam slots, 150+ psi fully advanced on the cam slots. All tests cold engine, full battery, only one plug out at a time, throttle held WOT. Adding oil to cylinders will definitely jump compression 20 - 25 psi ... I got 170+ psi when I put a little oil in a cylinder as an experiment.
