    2008 RXP-X purchase?????

Hello everyone, This is my first post here. I would like some opinions about a purchase I'm looking into. I am trying to decide between a 2008 rxp-x with 30 hrs and an extended warranty for $8200, and a 2007 ultra 250X with 54 hrs in not as good condition as the RXP, but only $6000.
I mainly ride on lake Michigan which sees a wide variety of wave conditions, I like to wave jump, and need something that will track well in chop "at least better than my Ultra 150 or Polaris 1200 SLX did."

I like the RXP better but I'm concerned by all the issues I've learned about here. The Ultra has issues too, but they seem less expensive to deal with.
Any opinions about which ski seems like the better deal would be appreciated.

The one with the warranty is always the better deal; in fact, I wouldn't own an expensive PWC without one. Welcome to the forum. Here's a recent thread you might be interested in; see my comments on the 2007 Ultra here:

I would do some more research on the Kawi 250X, before deciding. Some have had major, very expenseive repairs needed. GIO, cracked heads have destory more than a few engines.

The PX is not perfect either, but I say JMO that it has less issues and is less costly to fix.

The 250X has a great ride for sure in the rough stuff. The PX frankly sucks to me in the rough water, but I am getting old and don't like getting beat up any more.

Thats a good point, too. The Kawi are pretty hard on the gas. They use twice the gas and go about 20mph slower than my modded PX when one rides with us.

I am the happy new owner of of the PX
Picked it up yesterday. It seemed to handle the chop much better than my Ultra 150 or SLX did.
