Is automotive wax OK to use on watercraft?

Can a PWC be waxed with regular car wax like Zymol or Mothers? Or do I have to buy the boat wax from a marine shop?

I know I use car wash solution to wash my watercraft with great results. Just wondering about the wax.

you would have to wax the ski more frequently bc the automotive waxes don`t have the same protection for marine environment. but in answer to your question: I had used meguires Flagship waxes along with their gel wash which btw really cleans nice...since my ski is painted, and some parets were recently painted with automotive paint I saw no reason to not try auto. I have wax in the cabinet from mothers, to meguires, to turtle wax, ICE, etc... some of the paste/liquid waxes still leave a powdery residue that gets everywhere which is a PITA...
Take a look at "Plexus" it really makes all the plastic stuff look great...(visor etc)

anyway, when done it looks great... so why not...

    I only use Mothers products

How is this shine on a 1994 ski

Notice the reflection of the bars

You can even see the garage door that is above it reflect in the hood

    Pledge, with lemon.

Who cares when your water is so hard, only a jackhammer with a 80/20mix of vinegar/water will get the dried on spots off. Our water is so damn hard, it hurts worse when you get hit by it.
